Frequently asked questions

What kind of work do you do?

I work with the body.

Not in a “think positive” way, but in a real, physical, nervous system way.

Most people who find me have already tried talking it out, understanding it, analyzing it. They know what happened. They know the patterns.

And still, their body reacts.
Freezing. Shutting down. Staying tense. Feeling on edge.

That doesn’t mean you’re broken, it means your body knows how to protect you.

When your body feels safe enough to participate again, things start to move.
Emotionally, physically, internally.

I work with emotional release, coaching, energy healing (Reiki), and self-paced courses to help you:

  • reconnect with your body

  • regulate your nervous system (not through suppression, but through emotional expression)

  • reclaim your sense of self and authenticity

This isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about listening to what your body has been holding on to and letting it release at its own pace.

are you a therapist?

No. I’m not a licensed mental health therapist. Somatic practices (soma=body) focuses on the body’s wisdom using movement, breath, and other nervous system regulation tools to support emotional healing, physical well-being, and personal growth. I don’t diagnose or treat mental illness.
Instead of asking “what’s wrong with you,” we pay attention to what your body has been trying to communicate and how to build a safer relationship with it.

can i work with you if i’m in already in therapy or taking medication?

Absolutely! You don’t need to choose just one path, because there is no one right way to heal.
My role is to support you in connecting to your own body, while working alongside other professionals on your healing team. This can enhance and even deepen the work you’re already doing.

do I have to be local to work with you?

Thankfully, connection doesn’t require proximity, so your body can be supported from wherever you are. Everything except massage therapy is online, so you can work with me from anywhere in the world.
Massage therapy is only available in Missoula, MT.

what should I expect when working with you?

If you’re tired of being pushed, rushed, or told what you should feel, then welcome. Because safety comes before expression—when your nervous system feels respected, your body opens at its own pace.

You can expect a trauma-informed, non-judgmental space. Depending on the service, sessions may include guided body awareness, breath work, emotional release and processing, energy healing, or intuitive coaching—depending on your needs.
Each experience is tailored to meet your body and nervous system where they’re at.

In essence, you feel more like a person again after working with me.

what is your education/training?

In order to trust, you want to know someone actually knows what they’re doing. Credentials matter. So does lived experience.
When both are present, it’s even better.

I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 10+ years, trained in two separate Emotional Release modalities (which includes parts work, breath work, psychosomatics, and more) and I’m a certified Reiki Master. I also complete required continuing education every renewal cycle.

Beyond credentials, I’ve done years of my own deep work, leaving a Fundamentalist Mormon cult, and working with therapists, somatic practitioners, coaches, and facilitators to rebuild my own life from the inside out. My work is informed by both professional training and lived experience.

why should I give this a try?

You are a multi-dimensional human being. You are not just your thoughts, your pain, or your past. You are a whole system: body, mind, and emotion. Somatic work honors and connects all of these parts, giving you the well-rounded support you need to return to yourself without forcing or bypassing.

If you’re ready, come work with me.
